In a continuing effort to offer opportunities for local students, a Job Shadowing program has been established to supplement school-based curriculum for the reinforcement of math, science and technology.
Students accompany and observe scientists or engineers as they work. The areas of interest may revolve around Earth science, engineering, remote sensing or technology applications. Upon conclusion of this activity, the student immediately prepares a written report that would describe their particular job shadow in detail.

High School/High Tech is a community-based partnership among students, families, public schools, post-secondary institutions, federal agencies, private employers, county agencies, economic and technology development groups, and rehabilitation agencies. Its purpose is to introduce youths with disabilities to the vast array of high tech careers.
Early exposure including summer employment to vocations in science, engineering and technology-related fields help youths to test their interests and abilities. It also helps students to follow and continue their education and training in high technology.
