Astro Camp
Mission -- Soar to Explore: NASA Turns 50!For fifty years, from Project Mercury to the Mars Exploration Rovers, NASA has explored our earth, our solar system and beyond. Children attending this summer’s Astro Camp will look back at NASA’s extraordinary achievements over the past five decades, and look forward to new visits to the Moon and Mars. Astro Camp staff will work campers in a team environment to investigate NASA’s rich history and discover our promising future in space. Along the way, they’ll broaden their own horizons and learn just how much fun hands-on math and science can be!
Children ages 7-12 years old are invited to participate in one of seven week-long sessions during the summer months. Campers work together in teams to accomplish the camp missions. Each day campers should be dropped off at 8:15 a.m. and picked up after camp around 4:00 p.m.

Astro Camp Plus Programs
NEW! Astro SEE July 7-11, 2008
This summer, the Mississippi State University Bagley College of Engineering will hold the Summer Engineering Experience (SEE) program at Stennis Space Center for 13-15 year olds.
The week-long program teaches children basic engineering principles, teamwork and critical thinking skills, which heighten their interest in math and science.
The activities are hands-on, problem-solving and cooperative with an emphasis on engineering. These activities will be done in groups of three or four students, supervised by MSU College of Engineering students, faculty and staff.
In addition, the students will spend a portion of the day learning about robotics, experimenting with electronics and sensors, and learning how robots can track their way through various courses.
For registration, or to find out more about this program, please visit the SEE Web site at http://www.bagley.msstate.edu/outreach/SEE/index.php.
